Part III: Celebrating Black Men

As you may have noticed, I am once again single in the city! Most people either really love dating or completely dread it; I am somewhat in the middle. Truth be told, I am good at dating. Unfortunately, I can tell you how to get a man, but I damn sure can’t give you advice on how to keep him!  One of my biggest challenges with being single is the negative commentary about being a single Black woman in her 40's.  The second hardest part about being single is filtering out all the negativity about dating Black men. Wait…. Let me be clear, the negativity is not all coming from white people. This is Black on Black crime! Let’s call it what it is!  Are you an offender?

Control, Strengthen and Slow Down

GETTING READY FOR 2018 When the New Year arrives, I want to be the best version of myself.  In the past I would wait until January 1st to set goals and to heal my body from all that it endured the previous year. I'd eat all the holiday junk food for the month of November… Continue reading Control, Strengthen and Slow Down
